Alloyed Steel Base - Chemical Composition

The Alloyed steel base microstructure consists of ferrite, pearlite and even some bainite for the higher carbon grades. These materials have no fall-off in hardness with increasing depth. This material has improved toughness & is typically used in breakdown, roughing and intermediate mills for bloom, billets section and for finishing heavy sections.
